Hello Families,
We know it is winter when the kids get sick! We have several cases of strep throat (me included....so I can sympathize!), so please reinforce hand washing and not sharing food or drinks. If you child is sick, don't worry about school. We will figure out missing assignments when they return. The most important thing is that they get better! If you would like work sent home, just email me and I can put something together, but please remember I will be flexible about assignments and getting things turned in. On another note, I want to say how proud I am of the kids who were here on Monday. As I was home sick, they had several different teachers in throughout the day to help substitute and every teacher said how much they enjoyed the class and how responsive and well-behaved they were. In particular, they helped with the 2nd grade in literary circles and Ms. Williams could not say enough about how great they were. I know they are great...but it is nice to have others recognize it as well. As for the school week, we are in the midst of Catholic Schools Week, so we have lots of activities going on, including the Spelling Bee today.
