Welcome Back! I hope you all enjoyed your Easter break! I know I did! May is around the corner with summer soon to follow. Your students are so ready for Junior High! We are celebrating Earth Week this week, please see below for the special activities. We are also very excited about AstroCamp! This is one of the best field trips of all time!
Notes and Reminders:
AstroCamp:
New Uniforms: next year, Junior High girls will be required to wear navy or khaki skirts that have been purchased through Land's End. They will not be allowed to wear the plaid skirt. Please plan ahead! If you choose to purchase one now, they may wear them for the remainder of this year.
Rice Bowls: please turn them in!

- bring in an empty 2 liter bottle
- packing list will be sent home tomorrow

Earth Week:
Monday
- Plastics Pledge Class Challenge begins; Pledges from students, families, friends and neighbors due by May 12
- Green Ribbon T-shirts will be distributed to students that ordered
- NO TRASH TUESDAY- generate as little trash as possible; use reusable containers for lunch and make this a habit
- Celebrate SJA's Green Ribbon School Award: Wear your Green Ribbon shirt or another blue or green shirt with blue, green or brown pants (jeans included) or skirts. Uniform shorts/pants and SJA PE shorts are also permitted
- Lights off activity in classrooms!
- Celebrate Earth Day at Mass with Father Ricky and Laudito Si; Letter from Pope Francis on Care for Our Common Home
Saturday
- People's Climate March 9:45 a.m. at Waterfront Park, downtown San Diego
- Join Mrs. Oldham and other San Diego Catholics led by the Catholic Diocese under the banner that says Creation Care Team Network
- "Humanity is one people living in a common home."
